I’m Hannah aka Keeper Creative aka a nifty perth-based photo taker. Shooting weddings + other wild, fun, untamed things [for-reals] since twenty ten.

Dipping in and out of the industry for almost a decade, predominantly based here in Perth, WA - I've found myself immersed in the wild [ yet magical ] world of weddings with a side hustle of commercial, advertorial and editorial work and social media content creation and management.

Running solidly throughout all these gigs is a considered, authentic and curious approach. Authenticity is my lifeblood when it come to creation and feeds into all scopes of work and has lead me to work with some incredible small businesses and ongoing clients, located nationally and internationally. My state of being is naturally inquisitive, garnished with a generous serving of sass and soul.

When it comes to weddings, I want to collaborate + document, and create everlasting frames that overflow with authenticity inspired by the natural spark and energy between two human lovers surrounded by their favourites. Capturing honest and fleeting moments of human connection is what makes me tick. Whether it be a elopement or the full shebang, a wedding is one of the most important days of your life and it is a privilege for me to be involved. It should be your day from start to finish and it should be enjoyed – I want to be able to capture it, as you feel it. I love being in the background when it comes to your day and also interact with your favourite humans. It’s a dance, and I dig dancing.

My style teeters between documentary and unguarded creativity and the vibes that each unique wedding lays down. Every couple have their own way of connecting, - the way they laugh, cry, dance and all the in-betweens - the way I photograph is to showcase this, in all it’s honest glory.

Running freely along all the juicy stuff above, I want you both to have fun. I want you to hitch up the dress, roll up the pants, climb the fence, and walk bare foot next to your person and I’ll be right beside you capturing it all. You’re the keeper of your own memories, but I’ll do my darn best to document those so you can still feel the feels in another 50 years, as if it was just yesterday.

An open heart and the simple pleasures in life keep my head and heart aligned.

The Keeper Cow

 Why the cow you ask?

Although I'm very much a Perth loving' city slicker today - my roots are buried deep in red and rich WA dirt. I have the memory of a goldfish, but there is one that lingers. One that both my mum, dad, sister and brother all share - and one of my fondest. Raising our own little calves. Mine was Quicksilver - I was a total tomboy and clearly right into surf brands… We hand fed our little babes with buckets before school and got to watch them grow big and strong.

Cows are consistent, grounded and a little quirky. They have this twinkle in their eye that hints of mischief and fun. They're versatile, resilient, usually drenched in sunlight and always remind me of home.

You're the keeper of your own memories. These are what shape us. You can be reminded with images, stories and songs, that are interpreted in a hundred different ways by each individual. But your memories - they're unique to you and you only - and that is damn cool.

That's the story of the Keeper cow.
